George Northrup
George Northup makes his home near the Snake River in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where he and his family have lived for thirty-four years. It is also where he draws inspiration for his sculptures of wildlife and figures in bronze.
Encouraged many years ago by the resident artists Grant Hagen, Conrad Schwiering, John Clymer and others to pursue the creating of images in metal, George has made sculpture his life’s work for more than 20 years.
Northup has completed a large monumental sculpture commissioned by the Grand National Waterfowl Hunt Club in Cambridge, Maryland that is the focal point for a new eastern shore information center.
